Our Run Programs
Youth Run Program
Thank you for a great 2024 program! Each summer we conduct a Youth Run program for kids aged 8-12. Runs are on Thursdays at 6:15pm and Saturdays at 8am. The program includes a track meet with local run group, Fast Track!
Fun Run Mondays
If you like to run with others, Xtra Mile is the place! Get connected with local runners from Fast Track and Busse Woods Running Club. Runs are held Mondays at 6:15 p.m. for a fun run - all paces welcome! You don't have to be with a running group to join in!
Speed Work Wednesdays
From Mid-March through Mid-October, we are on the Harper Track for Wednesday night runs, designed by the local club, Fast Track. This is a structured workout involving varying intervals and paces on a closed loop. Runners of ALL paces will benefit from these workouts.
*October-March: These workouts are run from the XMR store at 6:15 p.m.
Friday Night Flights (Year-round Fun with Beer!)

New to running, or returning from a sabbatical? Join our Couch to 5k program! It's a 10-week walk-to-run course that concludes at a local 5K. When in session, runs are held Tuesdays from the store from 6:15-7 pm, and Saturday mornings at Volkening Lake from 9-10 am.

Xtra Mile Running is proud to host a local race that has been going on for more than two decades! The course is flat, fast and run on the streets of Roselle. The race starts and ends at Lake Park High School West Campus. Following the 5K race, there is a 0.6K Youth Run (1/3 mile)! This race is held every year in June. The 2024 race was selected by CARA to be part of the Runners Choice Circuit!

Grab your spikes or trail shoes and relive the good ol' cross country days! The race takes place on the 3-mile Macnider cross country course, near Hoover Elementary School. This event is held every year in November and offers races for a variety of ability levels. In 2024, the race was once again selected by CARA to be part of the Runners Choice Circuit.
